From the Foundation was born a new symphony…

The establishment of the Serbian Symphony Orchestra represents another step towards realizing the vision of the International Opera Foundation.

Founded in 2023, the Serbian Symphony Orchestra radiates freshness and enthusiasm, laying the groundwork for a new chapter in the cultural life of Serbia and beyond.

The primary goal of this ensemble is to promote opera art both in our country and beyond its borders, while simultaneously providing space for the interpretation of classical symphonic music, cross-over programs, and concerts aimed at the youngest audiences.

Since its first performance, held in collaboration with the International Summer Opera Festival Morelia in Mexico, in the ceremonial hall of the Army House on July 24, the orchestra immediately captured the hearts of the audience with its magnificent performances. Under the baton of maestro Alen Vladimir Gomez, this gala concert was a real treat for all opera lovers.

Just five days later, on July 29, the first opera performance "La Bohème" by Giacomo Puccini was performed under the open sky in the courtyard of the Captain Miša's Mansion, for whose enchantment maestro Gomez was responsible. This was just the beginning of a series of spectacular events, including concerts with renowned conductors, such as maestro Daniele Agiman from Italy in the grand hall of the Kolarac Foundation, and maestro Marcello Motadeli from Italy, who conducted the opera performance "Andrea Chénier" by Umberto Giordano in the Great Hall of the MTS Arena, produced in co-production with theaters from Lecce (Italy), and the Bulgarian National Opera from Varna.

This orchestra is not only a source of artistic brilliance but also an example of dedication and top quality. Thanks to the talents of the best and most experienced musicians in the country, the Serbian Symphony Orchestra has already managed to arrange numerous performances both domestic and international, continuing to build its path towards high status on the world music scene.
